Nathan is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a certificate in Computer Science. He has a passion for using GIS and programming to make data understandable through visualizations and simplified workflows. Nathan brings the bird’s eye view to Urban3’s projects by connecting the dots between communities with ESRI software.

While in school, Nathan interned at Texas Natural Resources Information Systems (TNRIS) and The Texas General Land Office. During this time he learned the importance of spatial data in the public sector,  how visualizations can help departments understand their data, and how programming can aid in data management. He hopes to use these skills to uncover the patterns in data and help people understand what their data means. Nathan’s spark in city planning occurred when moving from rural East Texas to placemaking Austin, TX. Here he began to appreciate the bikeability and walkable infrastructure.
